People, place, perspective.

Belonging. An essential human requirement. We yearn for connection, purpose, contentment, and joy. When traveling with intention, we seek experiences which provide those invaluable components. Experiences which envelop us in community, bring us closer to wild spaces, and make us feel…like we belong.

At Rising Sun Adventure Tours, we are not here to give you the run of the mill tourist experience. Our mission is to help you reconnect with nature and develop deep and lasting bonds with Acadia National Park, Mount Desert Island, and the communities within. We do so with awareness of and respect for the original “People of the Dawnland”, the indigenous First Nations who make up the Wabanaki Confederacy and their enduring culture and heritage in this spectacular place called “Pemetic” or Mount Desert Island as it is now known by western culture.

Our goal is to aspire toward all this while having a blast on an adventure of a lifetime!

If you like what you read here, we hope you’ll consider joining us on an adventure. Be in touch and lets get outside, together.

Meet Your Maine Guide

A lifelong outdoorsman, Kareem has been leading groups professionally in the outdoors since 2013. An active Soldier in the United States Army Reserve, Registered Maine Guide, and Certified Wilderness First Responder, Kareem and his Wife Taylor are year-round residents on Pemetic, Mount Desert Island. They live in Bass Harbor with their French Bulldog North Star.
